Good dictionary, annoying pop-ups every time its opened

The dictionary is great. My problem begins when I paid to remove the ads. It only removes a banner at the bottom, and I was continually spammed with pop-up offers for the other upgrades, in addition to the ads for more upgrades (sneakily described as "additional context" when looking at a definition).
